About Coach Maria

Before becoming a coach, Maria was an avid soccer player. She started her career with Vaughan Soccer Club. She showed promise as a young player and was even given the opportunity to train with the Italian National program. Her career there includes four international caps with the U19 Italian National Team. 

Ultimately, her career brought her to Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania, where she had the opportunity to play Division 2 in the NCAA. Upon leaving Gannon University, she realized her passion for coaching and moved to England to pursue her UEFA qualifications. After a year abroad, she returned as one of the highest qualified female coaches in all of Canada. 

Coach Maria is a ambassador with Fast and Female, a charity organization focused on giving all girls the role models and skills they need to succeed in sport and life. She is also a mentor for Changing the Game which is a part of the coaches association of Ontario.
